How much is my old laptop or phone worth?
It depends on the model, age, condition and whether it works. Bring the device to our Marlboro shop and we'll test it and make a firm cash or store-credit offer while you wait — there's no charge to get a valuation.
Do you buy broken or non-working devices?
Often, yes. A laptop with a cracked screen or dead battery still has value in its other parts. We make lower offers on non-working devices but it's usually more than a trade-in program gives, and you avoid the shipping hassle.
What happens to my personal data when I sell a device?
We securely wipe the storage so nothing is recoverable — accounts, photos, documents, saved passwords, all of it. If a device is only good for parts, the drive is physically destroyed. You can watch the wipe if you'd like.
Can I put the value toward a repair or another device?
Yes, and it usually stretches further that way. Many customers trade an old machine toward a [repair](/services/computer-repair/), an [SSD upgrade](/services/hardware-upgrades/) on their current computer, or a refurbished machine from our store. Store-credit offers are typically a little higher than the cash price for the same device.
