Why is my laptop so slow all of a sudden?
The usual causes are a failing hard drive, a full or fragmented disk, too many background and startup programs, not enough RAM, overheating from dust, or malware. A tune-up checks all of these and tells you whether it's a cheap fix or a hardware upgrade.
How much does a computer tune-up cost in Marlboro?
A standard tune-up starts around $100 and most are done within a day. If the diagnostic shows the real fix is a solid-state drive or more memory, we'll quote that separately so you can decide — often it's the single best speed upgrade.
Will a tune-up actually make my computer faster?
If the slowdown is software, heat or clutter, yes — noticeably. If the drive is failing or the machine is starved for memory, a tune-up alone won't be enough, and we'll tell you that honestly instead of charging you for a temporary fix.
Is it worth tuning up an old computer or should I replace it?
If it's under about eight years old and the fix is an SSD, more RAM or a cleanup, tuning it up costs a fraction of a new machine and buys years. We'll give you a straight recommendation based on what the diagnostic finds.
