Why speed matters
The liquid itself rarely kills a laptop instantly. It’s the corrosion and mineral residue left behind that eats through traces and connectors over the following days. A machine cleaned within 24 hours has a far better outlook than one that sat in a drawer for a week.
What we do
We fully disassemble the device, remove the battery, clean every board with the proper solvents in an ultrasonic bath where needed, replace corroded connectors, and test each subsystem. Then you get an honest assessment: what works, what needs replacing, and whether it’s worth repairing or recovering the data and moving on.

What should I do right after a spill?
Shut the device down immediately, unplug it, and do not try to charge or power it on to "check" it. Turn a laptop upside down like a tent. Skip the rice — it does nothing useful. Get it to our Marlboro shop the same day if possible.
Can a water-damaged laptop be saved?
Frequently, if it's treated fast. Clean water gives the best odds; coffee, soda and salt water are more corrosive. The sooner we can clean the residue off the board, the more likely the machine — and your data — comes through.
Will I lose my files from liquid damage?
Usually not. The storage drive often survives even when the rest of the machine doesn't, because it sits away from where most spills land. If the laptop turns out not to be worth repairing, we can still remove the drive and recover your files from it as a separate step at our Marlboro shop.
