Your footage as standard MP4 files on a USB drive, on DVD, or both. We keep each tape as its own file, labelled, so you can find the one you want. Combine it with a backup setup and those memories are finally safe.

How much does it cost to convert a VHS tape to digital in Marlboro, NJ?

What tape formats can you convert?
Standard VHS, compact VHS-C camcorder tapes, Hi8, Video8, Digital8 and MiniDV. If you're not sure what you have — and most people aren't after twenty years in a closet — just bring the tapes to our Marlboro shop and we'll identify each format and quote you on the spot.
My old tapes look worn — can they still be transferred?
Usually, yes. We clean and inspect every tape before the transfer and can often get a watchable result even from tapes with tracking problems, dropouts or mild mold. Badly damaged or heavily molded tapes are assessed one by one, and we tell you what's realistic before there's any charge.
How long does tape conversion take?
Each tape transfers in real time, so a two-hour tape takes two hours of machine time. Small batches are typically ready in a few days; large collections we schedule with you. Turnaround is confirmed when you drop them off.
